The gateway's authentication service is only reachable through a Cloudflare Tunnel — the origin is never bound to a public interface. Cloudflare terminates every connection before it ever reaches our infrastructure.
Each device holds its own Ed25519 key that never leaves it. It signs a fresh, single-use assertion for every login — a captured request can't be replayed, and a compromised server can't forge a device's identity.
Your phone's hotspot is used strictly to authenticate and provision — never as a production path. Once your LTE connection is verified, the hotspot steps back to standby automatically.
We don't fabricate carrier access or invent APN settings — your SIM and carrier plan control what your modem can actually reach. The gateway authenticates and routes; it never pretends to grant cellular service it can't.
